Student Software Developer

Are you passionate when it comes to C# and .NET and do you know your way around UI and application development?

Do you want a student position where you build up your professional qualifications in a small agile company and will get a lot of responsibility?

Then we have a unique opportunity for you in our Software Development Team. We offer a student job of 10-15 hours a week, distributed to suit both your and our schedule.

Software Development

In BioSense Solutions we develop automated microscopy solutions for laboratory use and real-time monitoring of various industrial processes.

Our main product oCelloScope is versatile with multiple applications in microbiology research and together with our customers we are constantly developing our software platform UniExplorer in several areas.

UniExplorer is a C# .NET windows application that uses a SQL database for data storage. It communicates with the oCelloScope instrument through a LUA interface. The oCelloScope instrument runs on a Linux OS with firmware written in C/C++.

We are looking for engineers to work with us to push the boundaries of automated time-lapse microscopy by combining our proprietary 3D scanning technology with a unique easy-to-use software, with advanced image processing features.

You will join our small but highly skilled R&D team, where you will be trained and guided in your new tasks and responsibilities. Your primary job will be focused on UI development, but we also look at your qualifications and interests when it comes to defining your tasks.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and/or modify existing UI software routines and programs.
  • Provides software support for assigned products, including installation, maintenance, documentation, customization, and utilization of product features.
  • Prepares and conducts system and programming tests requiring interfacing of hardware and software.

You are currently studying Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field. You are about to, or you have already completed your bachelor’s degree.

As a person you are detail oriented and proactive. You will work with members from the entire team. We expect you to be able to plan and organize your own tasks and ask for help whenever you need it.

What do we offer?

We offer the opportunity to become part of a small agile company and to experience first-hand how solutions are developed in close collaboration with customers. We have an informal work environment where you will be included in daily decisions and where your input is valued and encouraged.

Your new colleagues in BioSense Solutions are mixed nationalities of Engineers in Software, Computer Science, Mechanics, Optics, and Biologist. We have a close collaboration with several departments at DTU and University of Copenhagen and have had several student workers from different specialties in the past years.
